I bought underwear from a catalog mail order, but I chose the wrong size. I noticed before opening the box and asked for a replacement by phone, but the person in charge refused, saying, "We are unable to return or exchange underwear as it is written in the catalog." This is strange since the underwear was not opened.

In the case of mail-order sales, there is no cooling-off that can be canceled unconditionally. If the business operator has a special agreement that specifies whether or not it can be returned or exchanged, a deadline, etc., you will be following the specification. Since unilateral returns cannot be made due to the convenience of consumers, please check the return policy carefully before ordering.
