I received a direct mail stating that I had won an overseas lottery and paid a fee, but I couldn't receive a transfer.

I started to frequently receive DMs that stated that I won overseas lotteries. Every time I receive a DM, I pay several thousand yen as a fee to receive the prize money, but I can't receive a direct transfer. Am I being deceived?

Advice

You will never win a lottery you have not applied for. Please be careful not to believe people who say ,"You can receive prize money.” Selling or giving away overseas lottery tickets in Japan is illegal so never apply for it.
