I would like to have a cooling-off for a cram school contract.

7 days ago, I signed a school for a junior high school examination and paid an entrance fee and a tuition fee of 55,000 yen on the spot. However, after that, I decided to enter another cram school and applied for cancellation over the phone. Then, I was told that the amount I paid was not refundable. Is it possible to have a cooling-off?

A cram school contract with a contract term exceeding 2 months and a contract price exceeding 50,000 yen is subject to cooling-off for 8 days from the date of the receipt of the contract.
