Handling of personal information

Based on the act on the protection of personal information and other related laws and regulations, Yokohama City Consumer’s Center will observe and execute the following as a personal information handling company.

1. When we receive a consultation, we will ask you for your name, address, telephone number, gender, age, and occupation in order to ensure smooth consultation processing. (In the case of visiting consultation, please fill in the “visiting reception card” for convenience of arrangement before the consultation.)
2. When renting books, videos, etc. from the exhibition / information resource room, please fill out your name, address, telephone number. Other out-of-city residents will be required to fill in the name of their work or school.
3. This information (hereinafter referred to as “personal information”) will not be used for consultation processing or rental work of the exhibition / information resource room, and will not be used for other purposes without the consent of the person or provided to third parties.
4. The documents you provide will not be returned in principle.
5. If a court, prosecutor's office, police, bar association, etc., or an organization with authority or a role equivalent to these requests for personal information, information may be provided within the scope of not violating related laws and regulations.
6. The information you provide will be used as statistical processing / consultation cases and to improve the quality of responses, except for the information that can be identified by specific individuals.
